19 Mar Scintillating Science!
KS2 had a blast (quite literally) in the science labs on Thursday 15th March. They were lead completely by our fabulous group of Year 8 girls, who took part in a STEM project earlier on in the year. The classes in year five and six were split into groups of five, and then rotated around a carousel of intriguing and interesting science activities that peaked the minds of our students beyond belief.
Activities included exploring how nappies absorb liquid (with water, much to our children’s relief!); making pressure rockets with vitamin tablets; expanding and compacting marshmallows with a combination of sheer strength and air pressure; and many more.
Thank you to Mrs. Duggins and Mr Pierce and, of course, the wonderful Year 8 pupils for such an inspiring day.
“It was the best day ever!”
