10 Nov Remembrance Day
KS2 and KS3 pupils met together with staff today to hold a remembrance service to remember the men and women of the armed forces who have fought for or died for their country.
Each class planted a wooden cross to create a garden of remembrance. Head Boy, Reece Randall, led the service and Head Girl, Millie Ady, read the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ by John McCrae. The whole school fell silent at 11am for two minutes before Ms Beech read a prayer.
In the run up to Remembrance Day, a series of assemblies discussed the importance of Remembrance.
