21 Jun Non Pratt Visit
Non talked to over 200 pupils from local schools about her books and in particular her new book Truth or Dare. She also provided visuals for a fun, interactive pop quiz. She got students thinking about where we find stories and to look beyond books to films, TV, the news – what do stories tell us about the world – do they reflect the truth or the teller? Her sessions aim to promote discussion and spark inspiration in a teen audience and encourage them to think critically of the paradigms presented to them through music, film and TV as well as books.
The feedback from students was excellent and Non (author) and Dawn (Schools Library Service) were so delighted that the students were confident, enthusiastic and very involved, especially with the Truth & Dare elements.
Here is a sample of a student feedback:
- She was lively
- Involved us
“The thing I liked the most is how she was telling a story in a funny way. Non is so inspiring for us young pupils and I’m sure Non will continue to inspire others. She is kind hearted and interacted with us. I am looking forward for what’s to come.”
“She is very positive and her books sound and look amazing. I need to read her books because I know I am going to enjoy them.”
