12 Mar All Things Wild
All Things Wild
On Friday 9th of March the whole of Year 5 went on a trip to All Things Wild with models of ancient animals; read on to find out more…
What we did
Once we got to All Things Wild, we could not believe what was ahead! Firstly, 5JH went on a quest to find all of the missing names of the dinosaurs that were lurking ahead, looking mysterious. Secondly, we journeyed through the rest of the Dino trail to find that at the very end of it, was a modeled digger and helicopter that you could sit in and pretend to fly and dig! Next, 5JH came to a halt at a field with lots of interesting equipment like: tug of war, obstacle courses, football and plenty of relaxing benches. Also, by the field, there was a tiny pond with fishing nets to catch some things in like frogspawn and patterned leaves. Finally, we all done something spectacular, we held all sorts of incredible animals. The animals that we held were; a Royal Python snake, a beaded dragon, a cockroach and a fluffy bunny!
What we learnt
Year 5 learnt a lot of interesting facts that we didn’t know at All Things Wild! We didn’t know that snakes shed their skin every month. It was an incredible experience because there are lots of fabulous animals and lots of opportunities to learn something new! Why don’t you go?
